Celebrating Jamaican Independence Day 2026

We were delighted to welcome members of the Jamaican community to St. Andrew’s this month to celebrate Jamaican Independence Day 2026.

It was a fantastic day filled with delicious Jamaican food, great music and a wonderful atmosphere. Most importantly, it was an opportunity for people to come together, celebrate Jamaican culture and heritage, and recognise the vibrant Jamaican community here in Ireland.

We were very happy to be part of these special celebrations and to open the doors of the Centre to everyone. Events like this are a wonderful reminder of the importance of community, culture and connection, and we were proud to help mark this important occasion.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined in the celebrations and helped make the day such a memorable celebration.
