Rialto Community Arts Festival 2025
Rialto Festival Vibes coming to St. Andrew's
Last year's first ever Rialto Community Arts Festival was an outstanding success, proving that the Rialto village area is overflowing with talent. Now as we hit the summer again, this year's festival, RCAF 2025, which takes place June 19th – 22nd, is promising to be bigger and bolder! Boasting a line-up that is vibrant, the programme features an eclectic mix of visual arts, film, dance, music performances, comedy and spoken word events. With the exception of one event, all events are free and take place throughout the three main community centres in Rialto and a number of local pubs and cafes.
In St. Andrew's, the action kicks off on Friday with an afternoon Haiku poetry walk and workshop with award-winning poet Maeve O'Sullivan. In the evening, we have two up and coming young emerging rock bands, Circa and Control, playing live from our hall. On Saturday morning at 11am, our artist studio is open to the public where you can meet and greet Aaron Sunderland Carey, current resident artist, who is collaborating with Rialto Youth Project. Singer-songwriter Luke Clerkin delivers a songwriting/mental health workshop also that day (note this is a paid ticketed event) and we also have a special midsummer ritual for the day that's in it. Saturday concludes with a special songwriting showcase featuring over a dozen live performances in our hall. On Sunday then we end our participation in the festival with a special recital by TU Dublin Conservatoire students performing a mixed programme of classical works.
This local community festival is a result of an enthusiastic collaboration between local community centres (Fatima Groups United – F2, St. Andrew’s Community Centre and Dolphin House Community Development) and passionate locals who all want to see Rialto shine.
